How you think about and experience your gender identity is critical to the way you walk through the world. Whether you are struggling to understand your gender identity, or are in the midst of social and/or medical transition, therapy can be a helpful support in this process. While my approach to gender transition is informed by WPATH standards, I strongly believe in an informed consent model in healthcare.

Perhaps you found your authentic identity and identify as trans, gender queer, or gender fluid. Having a therapist who is sensitive to this issue can be critical to your wellbeing, even if it is not a primary reason for seeking therapy.
